Yes, we offer the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) and Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (SCPLH) only as an E-Assessment examination.  You will need to check with your chosen centre whether they offer this facility.  To search for an approved training centre near you please click here

Yes, you will need to check with your chosen centre whether you can sit the examination only.  However, please note that it is a mandatory requirement that you sit the course prior to sitting the examination for the BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision, BIIAB Level 2 Award in Security Guarding and BIIAB Level 2 Award in CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance).

There is an approval process in place.  Each qualification has specific tutor requirements, for further information please click here

If you have lost your certificate a replacement can be purchased from BIIAB.  If there is a spelling error on your certificate you must contact the training centre at which you sat your qualification in the first instance.

You should be able to retake the examination at the same centre.  However, should you decide to sit at another training centre you may need to repeat the training.  To search for an approved training centre please click here

Training and examination costs vary between centres and are not regulated by BIIAB.  Some centres include the costs of the examination, the qualification handbook and other materials as well as meals and refreshments in their overall price.  You will need to contact your chosen centre directly to find out dates, training hours and costs.  To search for an approved training centre near you please click here

In order to obtain your Personal Licence you must contact your local licensing authority where you live to obtain an application form. 

In order to obtain your SIA licence you will need to contact the Security Industry Authority (SIA) directly on 08702 430 100 or by visiting their website www.the-sia.org.uk

Candidates are required to provide proof of identity immediately prior to the examination.  To find out the acceptable proof of identity for all BIIAB qualifications please click here

The training will cover the content of the BIIAB qualification for which you are studying.  For an overview of each qualification please click here

You will be informed of your results by the centre where you sat the examination.  You need to check with your centre how they will inform you of the results.  Approved training centres are required to notify candidates of results within 5 days of receipt of examination results.

Please note that because of the 2003 Data Protection Act - BIIAB CANNOT issue results directly to candidates over the telephone.
