Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills
BII is working in partnership with ibp academy and Skillbites to deliver a brand new concept in accredited cost-effective learning which will enable learners to access a comprehensive training programme leading to the Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management Skills.
This qualification has been designed to give practising or aspiring middle managers a solid foundation for their formal development in the role of leader / manager in a business or organisation and is delivered by ibp academy through a combination of online and work based learning to develop a range of leadership and management skills. The programme is split into modules, each with a blend of online learning, videos, reading and practical activities. Learners submit reflective diaries, from which they receive regular feedback, and these also form the basis of their assessment.
The qualification consists of five units:
• Understanding the leadership role for managers - which explores the nature of the middle management role and teaches individuals how to critically evaluate their own managerial ability
• Assessing your own leadership capability and performance - through which learners will be able to explore leadership styles within their own organisation, the commitment and motivation of their teams and their own ability to motivate teams to meet organisational goals
• Leading teams and managing individual development
• Managing and leading activities and projects
• Evaluating personal development and project outcomes
Successful learners will not only be awarded a nationally recognised qualification but will also receive the BII Professional Certificate in Leadership and Management and points towards BII membership.
The cost of the programme is £1,950 inclusive of VAT and 12 months complimentary BII membership.
