Drugs and Smoking Consultation for AAA/SCAA Centres
BIIAB have been asked to consider the production of two new Level 1 qualifications covering Drugs Awareness and Smoking Awareness. The intention is that these would be very similar in format to the BIIAB Level 1 Award in Alcohol Awareness and would be aimed at the same cohort within schools and colleges. Some of the topics covered would be the key facts about drugs and smoking, the dangers of each, some of the myths that exist about drugs and tobacco, as well as the legal consequences of possession and supply of drugs.
Before undertaking these developments, we would like to invite schools, colleges and all AAA/SCAA centres for your feedback and opinions on the proposals to gauge whether there would be a market for these qualifications.
Please see the attached document which is a short questionnaire which we would be grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes to complete and return to us by Monday 14 February 2011. Please return your completed questionnaire to qualifications@bii.org or fax to 01276 23045.
