Released
10/06/2009
Summary
Licensees in the East Midlands will be treated to a line up of first class speakers at the next BII regional event taking place on Tuesday 23rd June at Pride Park Stadium in Derby. Attendees will hear licensing law updates and pick up ideas on how to improve sales and margins. They will also learn the secrets of unlocking their profit potential through ingenious marketing techniques.
The event will kick off at 1pm with the East Midlands Region AGM for BII members only. The main presentations will then start at 1.15pm and are open to BII members and non-members alike. Industry expert Phil Dixon will begin the speeches with his take on the BEC Inquiry and what should be done about it. Phil promises an informative, thought provoking yet entertaining presentation.
With so much going on in government that affects the industry, it is imperative that licensees keep up to date with the latest legislative changes both proposed and coming into play. David Lucas, Head of Licensing at Fraser Brown Solicitors, will give attendees a broad update on the hot topics being discussed in Westminster today. He will be followed on the platform by Philip Davison, BII Licensee of the Year 2009 and proprietor of the Sun in the Wood near Newbury, who will give an inspiring presentation on effective marketing techniques to unlock potential profit in your pub.
Finally, new BII Chief Executive Neil Robertson will introduce himself to the region and share his thoughts and ideas on the issues currently affecting the industry.
Places are booking up fast so be sure to book yours soon. East Midlands Regional Chairman Jeremy Scorer has organised a free prize draw for the day of the event. All delegate names will be put into a hat and one winner will be chosen on the day to win a mini break at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest.
Tickets cost just £15 for members and £20 for non-members. For more information call 01202 242714 or 07771 560922 or to book online, click here or visit www.bii.org.
BII has 15,000 permanent members throughout the UK and each of its 16 regions organises regular events to ensure licensed retailers remain up-to-date with industry developments and have the opportunity to network with other licensees and industry professionals.
