The BII NITAs DEADLINE EXTENDED BII NITA training awards logo

The deadline for the entries into this years NITAs has been extended to 31st May.

Enter your training in the BII NITAs, the industry awards for training excellence, and you could win a coveted BII NITA pyramid and industry and national recognition.

Who can enter?

The BII NITAs are open both to individuals and organisations who carry out training for the on-licensed retail sector, except for the category which is open to those carrying out training in the on and off sectors.

Entrants don’t have to be BIIAB approved centres or offering BIIAB qualifications.

In all cases, each BII NITA will go to the entry which indicates training excellence and the effective use of resources to achieve measurable results.

What are the categories?

There are nine entry categories this year:
     - Innovation in Training Award:
     - Licensee Trainer of the Year: Sponsored by: Greene King
     - Professional Company Trainer of the Year:
     - Professional Independent Trainer of the Year:
     - Social Responsibilities Award: Sponsored by: J D Wetherspoon
     - Security Training Award: Sponsored by: BIIAB
     - Best Licensee Induction Programme – Managed Estates: Sponsored by:   Enterprise I

     - Best Licensee Induction Programme – Non Managed Estates
     - Best Area Manager/BDM Development Award

In addition, the judges will also make recommendations for the Supreme award where they think the winner has made an outstanding contribution to training in the sector. 

The judging process

The judging of the BII NITAs is extremely robust incorporating paper-based judging and judging interviews which put finalists through their paces.

BII has s delighted to announce that the BII NITA judging panel will be chaired by Vicky Crossingham CMBII, Training & Recruitment Director, St Austell Brewery. St Austell previous BII NITA Supreme Award winners.

All entrants will receive feedback on their entry. 

Dates for your Diary

31st May 2011  – deadline for entries
Early June 2011 - initial judging when entries will be shortlisted
6th– 8th July 2011 - Shortlisted entries will be interviewed by judges in Birmingham.

Entrants in the Licensee Trainer of the Year Category will be judged at their premises.

All entrants must ensure that they will be available on these dates. The exact interview date will be confirmed to successful entrants mind June after 1st Round judging
