Centres Seeking Approval

We're delighted you're considering applying for BIIAB centre approval. With more than 24 years of experience, BIIAB is the market-leader in developing and awarding qualifications for the licensed retail sector. In fact, BIIAB has processed over 1.5 million examination entries to date.

BIIAB has over 600 approved centres operating in 6000 locations in the UK, where BIIAB assessments can be taken.

As you may also know, BIIAB is:

• the wholly-owned awarding organisation of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector
• the dedicated awarding organisation for the licensed retail sector
• recognised by Ofqual, which may mean that some qualifications are eligible for public funding recognised for achieving the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard
• an approved awarding organsisation of SQA Accreditation

Organisations seeking approval are required to make a formal application to BIIAB. An advisory visit can be arranged to offer guidance and advice on the recognition process; however a charge may apply for this service.
